A young Florida man is dead after a tragic incident. Reports indicate that the man died after a car accident resulted from his running of a red light. Others involved in the early morning crash were taken to local area hospitals in serious condition.
Florida officials say that the 20-year-old was travelling northbound in his SUV-type vehicle when he failed to stop for a red traffic signal. As he ran through the light, he crashed into another car that had been attempting to make a left turn. The left-turning driver had the green light when the car accident occurred.
The driver of the car that ran the light died as a result of the incident. In addition, the driver and a passenger in the other vehicle were seriously injured and required medical care. It is unclear how long they will need to recover from the injuries that they suffered.
In cases such as this one in our state, many seriously hurt victims find that they must face not only physical injury but also financial costs as a result of a car accident. When this happens, these individuals often consider making a claim against the driver deemed to be at fault for their damages using Florida's personal injury laws. These laws were created with the intent to assist victims of accidents who have suffered as a result of the actions of another. To prevail, the victims will need to prove the actions of the driver who died were negligent in a manner that directly caused the accident and injuries which resulted.
